Phonesavanh Latmany

Phonesavanh Latmany is a Senior Green Investment Officer/Climate Finance Access Network Advisor for the Papua New Guinea office and brings over 10 years of professional experience in promoting sustainable development, especially in areas related to climate change. Before joining GGGI PNG team, he was a Cities & Climate Change Senior Officer for the GGGI Lao PDR, supporting the overall program portfolio to promote green growth and climate-resilient development.      

Prior to GGGI, Phonesavanh was a Climate Change & Disaster Risk Management Senior Advisor at CARE International based in Lao PDR, providing technical and advisory support to projects on climate change and disaster risk reduction with vulnerable communities. He previously worked for the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), based in Vientiane Regional Office.

Phonesavanh holds a Master of Agricultural and Resource Economics from Kyushu University, Japan, and a Master of Environmental Management from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Phonesavanh loves traveling to explore new places and cultures. He also enjoys music and football.
