Phillip Muwanika

Philip Muwanika, based in the Uganda Country Office, is the Senior Officer-Green Investment- Private Sector Support. Philip is responsible for leading the mobilization of Green Financing for Urban and Industrial projects under Greening Uganda’s Urbanization and Industrialization Project. He also offers support to the Private Sector in Business Development that includes sharpening their business cases for growth and mobilization of additional financing. Philip joined GGGI in February 2021.

Philip previously worked with Uganda Free Zones Authority where he spearheaded the marketing of the Free Zones Scheme and mobilized strategic financing for Zones development. He has also worked with Traidlinks and the Uganda Export Promotion Board. Philip has undertaken several management Consulting assignments across East Africa including the development of Business Plans and Feasibility Studies for Multi-National Corporations and regional giants to aid their eventual investment in East Africa in the sectors of coffee, fruits and vegetables, dairy, timber processing, etc.

Philip holds an Executive MBA from Uganda Martyrs University; a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics and he is UN Certified Trade and Business Management Export and Adviser for Small and Medium Enterprises.
