Pablo Peña

Pablo Peña is Senior Public Policy Officer at the Peru country office. Pablo has over twelve years of experience in environmental policy and law. He joined GGGI from the National Environmental Licensing Agency of Peru (Senace) where he was the Director of the Strategic Affairs Department and led a multidisciplinary team tasked with making Peru’s review system of EIAs more efficient, rigorous and transparent. Before working at the government, Pablo spent several years working in environmental law, forest policy and conservation at the not-for-profit Peruvian Society for Environmental Law (SPDA).

Pablo is a lawyer by training and holds a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University. As part of his academic work, he has taught environmental law at different law schools in the country. He is currently an adjunct professor of environmental and natural resources law at the School of Law of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP).
