Katerina Syngellakis is the Pacific Regional Advisor for the Global Green Growth Institute based in Suva, Fiji with over 18 years experience working in sustainable development.

She has supported setting up of financing mechanisms, design of investment projects and development of strategies, roadmaps and policies in the energy and transport sectors and assisted in mobilizing over 50 million USD for renewable energy projects in the Pacific. She has also supported the preparation of low emissions development strategies in Fiji and Tonga.

Katerina has Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management and Sustainable Development from Universities in the UK and France, and is interested in the cross-disciplinary and participatory application of clean energy technologies, for greener cities, low carbon transport, community development and livelihoods, food and water security and building resilience to climate change.
