Hannah Lara Oliphant

Hannah is GGGI Colombia’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Resource Mobilization Officer, ensuring excellent monitoring and reporting of projects under the Colombia Country Program as well as the reporting of risks and supporting risk management related to program delivery. Within her role, she also identifies and pursues concrete opportunities to expand the program’s outreach and to ensure the longevity and sustainability of results.

Hannah’s short but full career spans over 5 years and 3 continents. Prior to joining GGGI as a consultant in 2019 and then becoming a member of staff in 2020, Hannah has worked in scientific research institutes of the University of Hohenheim and CIAT in the topics of conservation, landscape ecology, biogas generation and sustainable livestock forages in Stuttgart – Germany, Stellenbosch – South Africa and Cali – Colombia. After 4 years in science, she decided to change career direction by working for GGGI Colombia in supporting the implementation of policy-based solutions for deforestation control and sustainable landscape conversion as their Sustainable Landscapes Assistant, and now in M&E and RM for the overall Colombian Green Growth Programme seeing to that these solutions are maintained for the mid to long run.

Hannah speaks English, Spanish and German and has an M.Sc in Landscape Ecology from the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany. In her spare time, she is involved with the Women for Colombia foundation in the implementation of their biannual STEM career conference for high school girls.
