Dyah Catur Wahyuningtyas

Catur joined GGGI as the Provincial Representative for the GoI-GGGI Green Growth Program in East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. She manages Green Growth Program daily activities in East Kalimantan, engages with government agencies, private sectors, development partners and academia, and ensures program alignment with government’s requirements. She also manages a team of staff and consultants in implementing program and activities. The East Kalimantan Green Growth Program focuses on the issues of forests and land use, renewable energy and the development of Special Economic Zones. The program provides technical assistance and facilitation to enable funding opportunities closer to implementation. Further than that, the program also builds capacity of the governments and partners to better understand on green growth.

Before joining GGGI, she managed a REDD+ working group – a semi government institution established by a Governor’s Decree with its function to coordinate REDD+ efforts and initiatives in the Province. Catur graduated from the Forestry Faculty of Mulawarman University majoring on forest planning. As a forester, she also has interest in the issue of regional development planning and energy. Growing with GGGI has enabled her to see the environment and economy and community in synergy. Catur also enjoys a participatory learning process on which she can practice her skill in facilitation. In her free time, she loves to learn how to make cakes and gardening.
