Ms. Assana Alio is passionate about African economic development. She brings extensive experience in international affairs, agriculture, development, monitoring and evaluation of social, financial and economic programs.

Assana has managed large teams and fundraised for investment portfolios totaling 980M USD.

The African Development Bank, United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, and African/ U.S Bank and investment firms – are all organizations that Assana has worked with.

In additional to her professional experiences, Assana is a board member of Diaspora Capital LLP. This Sub-Saharan Africa-focused impact investment vehicle democratizes impact investment by leveraging “citizen capital” from Africans in the diaspora to provide alternative access to finance and management support to SMEs in Africa.
