Badou Gilbert Yelemou

Badou Gilbert Yelemou joined GGGI Burkina Faso country program as Senior Associate, Readiness program.

Badou will be supporting the implementation and timely delivery of the GGGI Readiness Program in Burkina Faso, in close cooperation with the Readiness Program Lead (PL), the NDA and key stakeholders.

A well experienced planning, monitoring and evaluation specialist interested in solving development issues both at national and international level, Badou was previously heading the Monitoring and Evaluation Division of the Executive Administration Office of the National Food Security Council of the Ministry of Agriculture in Burkina Faso. His main expertise is in coordinating the design of geographic information system (SIG) on food security and nutrition, prepare evaluation reports, supervision of statistical survey conduct and analysis, design and development of projects and programs and the follow-up of their operational and financial implementation.

Badou holds an Advanced Master degree in International and Development Economics jointly delivered by the Catholic University of Louvain and the University of Namur in Belgium. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma taken before completing a PhD in Applied Macroeconomics and a Master in Macroeconomics and Development Management.
