The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international organization, a neutral, trusted advisor and strategic development partner focused on supporting developing and emerging economies to achieve sustainable, inclusive economic growth. GGGI’s operating model maximizes the potential to translate green growth strategies and policies into green investment plans, mobilizing green finance commitments needed to bolster support for low-carbon and climate-resilient economic development and strong institutional capacity development.
The project “Forestry Finance & Investment Incubator” (FFII) project aims to support implementation of sustainable projects in the agriculture forestry and other land use (AFOLU) sector that contribute to Viet Nam Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) commitments and align with social and environmental targets of the country.
As part of the FFII project, GGGI is seeking to identify projects in Vietnam that require technical and financial assistance to achieve bankability. At this stage, GGGI is focusing on the 3 subsectors, including
- Long-rotation timber plantation,
- Coffee and/or fruit/nut agroforestry systems, and
- Alternative Wetting and Drying (AWD) Rice farming.
GGGI is seeking Expression of Interest (EOI) from project developers/owners whose activities are at certain level of advancement. The support to be provided may include a) financial structuring support, b) technical support, c) matching with potential investors, d) other applicable.
