This report is to provide a detailed assessment of urban rural linkages in Musanze District in Rwanda, especially in the context of the current COVID-19 pandemic and measures that the Government of Rwanda put in place that are impacting the urban-rural flow of people and goods. This study discusses the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic and related measures on the use of local trade markets, local transportation, and workers engaged in those sectors in Musanze District, and how the pandemic might influence future planning, design, implementation and management of market trade related projects and programmes in the District.
