Preparation Process of GGGI Country Planning Framework 2021-2025

The Green Growth Program (GGP) in Indonesia has entered its third phase for the 2021-2025 period. Currently, the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas as the executing unit, together with GGGI, is preparing the Country Planning Framework (CPF) 2021-2025. The CPF document will serve as a framework for the GGP for the next five years.

The document is prepared in line with the Government of Indonesia’s strategic action plan as outlined in the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2020-2024 and the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC), with the hope that this cooperation will provide strategic support to the Government of Indonesia in achieving its green growth ambitions.

Initial consultations with Bappenas were intensively held by GGGI in November. Since January 2021 until now, the preparation process has entered the next stage, which is the consultations with Ministries/Agencies that are planned to be the technical partners in green growth projects under GGP. Request invitations have been sent by Bappenas, and the series of bilateral consultation meetings attended by GGGI are still ongoing. These consultation meetings are important as a basis for cooperation so that the planned activities are in line with the needs, planning and development priorities agenda.

Before entering the final stage, a public consultation will be held to obtain an accord on the results of the bilateral meetings. The 2021-2025 CPF document is expected to be completed in May 2021, which will be signed by the Minister of National Development Planning/Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa as the representative of the Government of Indonesia and the Director General of GGGI Frank Rijsberman.
