As part of the implementation activities of the “Design of policy approaches under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement”, implemented by Morocco  Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable  Development in partnership with the Global Green Growth Institute, a face-to-face training sessions on Mitigation Outcome Purchase Agreement (MOPA) as well as governance & processes of Article 6, was organized for the benefit of institutions and government agencies, on the 19th, 20th and July 21, 2022.

The purpose of this training was to:
– Increase confidence within the relevant public institutions to engage in bilateral negotiations
– Strengthen understanding of the MOPA agreement, and complex legal, institutional, and technical concepts related to Article 6
– Strengthen the national readiness for engagement under Article 6 cooperative approaches.
– Strengthen competencies with respect to the Article 6 Governance and Article 6 Processes.
