Côte d’Ivoire 2021-2025 Country Planning Framework (CPF) stakeholders’ consultations

The Green Growth Program (GGP) in Côte d’Ivoire has entered its first phase for the 2021-2025 period. For this purpose, the Government in collaboration with the national office of GGGI is currently preparing the Country Planning Framework (CPF) 2021-2025. This CPF will serve as the strategic framework for GGGI actions for the next five years.

The document is prepared in line with the National Development Plan 2021-2025 and the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC which is under revision). This is a great opportunity to align the Global Operational Priorities of GGGI over the same period. This CPF Will provide strategic support to the government of Cote d’Ivoire in achieving these green growth ambitions.

On September 16th initial stakeholders’ consultations was held by GGGI with 50 participants from several sectors (Ministry, Private Sector, NGO, etc.) in Abidjan.

The ceremony was opened by speeches from GGGI Country Representative in Côte d’Ivoire, the representant of the Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development and the representant of the Prime Minister who gave the open word.

The objective of this consultation was to identify the key axes for inclusive green growth aligned with the GGGI GOPs.

Before entering the final stage of official presentation of the CPF, a virtual bilateral meeting will be held to share the the final version of the CPF. The 2021-2025 CPF document is expected to be completed in November 2021, which will be endorsed by the Ivorian authorities as the representative of the Government of Côte d’Ivoire and GGGI.
