11 December 2019, Nyagatare, Rwanda:  GGGI with their government partner Rwanda Housing Authority (RHA) conducted a one day capacity building training program for the staff from Ultimate Developers Limited (UDL) on the approved Rwanda Green Building Minimum Compliance System and the recently developed excel-based green building minimum compliance templates. The capacity building is in line with the implementation of the Green Building Minimum Compliance System by RHA supported by GGGI and partners.

Ultimate Developers Limited (UDL)  is a private real estate company established in 2011 to transform the property business in Rwanda and they are the developers behind the Vision City project in Kigali. UDL is coming up with the Vision City Phase 2 project to be developed as a model for a Smart Green City by integrating urban planning, green building, technology and wellness focused on human well-being practices. GGGI is supporting UDL through RHA to review the designs and promote the integration of green building indicators defined in the green building minimum compliance system.

The UDL participants were provided with an in-depth overview on the applicability and compliance requirements of the 29 Green Building indicators that are defined in the Green Building Minimum Compliance system and received training on the working modalities and benefits of the excel-based green building templates in implementing the minimum compliance system.
