SEOUL, Republic of Korea; July 17, 2020 – As part of GGGI’s Technical Reports series, GGGI released its Technical Report No. 13 on Achieving Green Growth and Climate Action Post-COVID-19.

The report reinforces the need for countries to develop Green New Deals for the economy post COVID-19 and offers recommendations to policymakers on the most effective design for COVID-19 recovery packages while facing budget shortfalls, rising debt, and declining tax revenues.

Moreover, GGGI explores the challenges and opportunities posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the links between health and climate crises, and the lessons we have learned from past disasters to build back better. The document is intended to serve as a source of information and recommendations for GGGI Members and country teams as they design green COVID-19 recovery plans in the months to come.
